UoK Participates on Prevention of Gender Violence

As prevention against gender violence hots upto gear in its sixteen days of activism, University of Kabianga was the epicenter of Belgut Sub-County where flagging off the walk was done from the institutions' grounds. 

The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Eric Koech officially flaged the walk. In his remarks he said that we all need to prevent any violence of either gender so as to bolster harmony and peace amongst all of us. Prof. Koech further said that as a University, "We therefore express our support in this year’s call and theme which is “Investing to prevent violence against women and girls”, focusing on the importance of investing in different prevention strategies to stop violence from its beginning".

Present during the flagging off occasion were University staff, students and representatives of various organizations who sponsored the walk in different ways.
